Introduction to Donation Box

Donation Box​

Donation Box is Riseact's physical product for in-person fundraising. It is a complete stand that includes an Android tablet with the Riseact Kiosk application preinstalled and a WisePOS E payment terminal. Donation Box is sold or rented to organizations and lets supporters make donations by credit card on their own.

Riseact Kiosk​

Riseact Kiosk is the Android application installed on the Donation Box tablet. It manages the donation form, the communication with the WisePOS E terminal, and the synchronization with Riseact. The application is available on the Google Play Store and can also be installed on any compatible Android device, even outside a Donation Box.

Locations​

The location is a concept used by Stripe Terminal (which Riseact relies on) to manage physical payments. It represents a physical place where fundraising activity takes place - for example the address of an event or a venue.

Each location has a unique ID in Stripe and can have one or more payment terminals associated with it. You can specify default settings for each location, such as tax settings.

A POS terminal is the hardware device that accepts card payments. The terminals supported by Riseact are:
