Distributing applications

From the Applications section of the Partner Area you create and distribute applications integrated with Riseact. Each application belongs to your partner profile and accesses the data of the organizations that install it via OAuth 2. For the technical side see Creating a partner application.

Distribution types​

The type is chosen at creation:

  • Public: available to all organizations through the store, after Riseact's approval.
  • Private: available to a single organization, among those you manage, specified at creation. It is the most direct way to deliver an application to a single client.

Distributing a private application​

  1. Create the application with Private distribution.
  2. Select the managed organization to target.

The organization can install it right away.

Distributing a public application​

  1. Create the application with Public distribution and complete the store listing (name, description, logo, homepage).
  2. Choose who sees it in the Visibility box of the application page:
    • My organizations: the organizations you manage find it in their store and can install it, with no approval;
    • The store: visible to all organizations, requires approval.
  3. For the store press Submit for Approval. You can attach a message; the reply comes by email.

Installation in organizations​

Installation always starts from the organization, or one of its administrators (including a partner that manages it), through the application's install_url or from the store. Uninstalling is also up to the organization.

The application's detail view in the Partner Area shows the number of active installations.
