Managed organizations
Managed organizations are the Riseact organizations that your partner profile manages on behalf of clients. You will find them in the Organizations section of the Partner Area.
An organization is considered managed by your partner when one of these conditions applies:
- it was created by your partner, or
- your partner has been enabled as staff on an existing organization.
In both cases you can access the organization, manage its configuration, and distribute applications and themes to it, according to the role you have been assigned.
Creating a new organization
From the Organizations section you can create a new organization directly for a client. The organization is created already linked to your partner profile, which becomes its administrator.
During creation you can set up a development organization, useful for testing applications and themes before distribution: it is initialized with sample data and is not intended for production use. See Development organizations.
Requesting access to an existing organization
If your client already has an organization on Riseact, you can request access to it:
- From the Organizations section, start an access request specifying the organization.
- An invitation to accept your partner as an administrator is sent to the organization.
- When the organization accepts, it appears among those you manage.
You can revoke an access request as long as it has not yet been accepted.
Transferring or assigning ownership
For each managed organization you can:
- Invite an owner — invite a person to become the owner of the organization (for example the client themselves), while keeping your partner as administrator.
- Transfer ownership — hand over ownership of the organization to another user.
These operations let you hand control of the organization over to the client while continuing, if needed, to provide support as a partner.
What you can do with a managed organization
Once an organization is among those you manage, you can enter its admin panel and manage it as if you were a user of the organization, with the permissions tied to your role.
From the organization's detail view you can also:
- update its data and configuration;
- distribute private applications or install public applications (see Distributing applications);
- distribute themes for the organization's website (see Themes).
